Martina Polasek | Biography

 Martina Polasek is Senior Counsel and Team Leader at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID, World Bank Group).  Ms. Polasek joined ICSID in September 2001 and has since served as Secretary of the Tribunal in numerous arbitrations under the ICSID Convention, the Additional Facility Rules and the UNCITRAL Rules, as well as Secretary of the ad hoc Committee in annulment proceedings. She supervises one of the four case management teams at ICSID.

Prior to joining ICSID, she worked as an attorney with the law firms of Jeantet & Associés in Paris and White & Case LLP in Prague, mainly specializing in international arbitration.

 

Ms. Polasek holds degrees from George Washington University (LL.M), University of Paris V Descartes (D.E.S.S.) and University of Gothenburg (Master of Laws).
